AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is in Kajiado County, Kenya. The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq mi)] in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometres (3,100 sq mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The local people are mainly Maasai, but people from other parts of the country have settled there attracted by the successful tourist-driven economy and intensive agriculture along the system of swamps that makes this low-rainfall area (average 350 mm (14 in)) one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkops and 47 types of raptor.

Day1:Nairobi-AmboseliNationalPark
Pick up from your hotel and driveto Amboseli via Namanga on the Tanzania border to reach Amboseli in good time for lunch. Lunch at lodge or camp in Amboseli National Park followed by full afternoon gamedrives. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or a camp.

Day2:AmboseliNationalPark
Today you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early morning and evening game drives. Whilst in the park, you will have the opportunity to photograph the animals against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or a camp.

Day3:Amboseli–TsavoWestNationalPark
After an early breakfast depart for Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly half way between Nairobi and the Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at kws bandas will be in time for lunch. An early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino and wide variety of antelope. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day4:TsavoWest–TsavoEastNationalPark
We depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tsavo East National park. Game is viewed as we exit the park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or a camp.

Day5:TsavoEastNationalPark
Full day spent exploring the park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or a camp.

Day6TsavoEast–Mombasa
Early morning game drive. Soon after breakfast we proceed to Mombasa arriving at 1400 hrs. Drop off at a airport for onward jounery
