Guwahati is the ancient Shakti temple of Goddess Kamakhya in Nilachal hill (an important seat of Tantric and Vajrayana Buddhism), the ancient and unique astrological temple Navagraha in Chitrachal Hill, and archaeological remains in Basistha and other archaeological locations of mythological importance.
SHILLONG :
Shillong was a small village until 1864, when it became the new civil station of the Khasi and Jaintia hills. It remained the summer capital of Eastern Bengal and Assam for many years. In 1874, on the formation of Assam as a Chief Commissioner's Province, it was chosen as the capital of the new administration.
KAZIRANGA :
The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Kaziranga is recognized as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International for conservation of avifaunal species. The park celebrated its centennial in 2005 after its establishment in 1905 as a reserve forest.

UMIAM LAKE :
Umiam Lake ( commonly known as barapani lake ) is a reservoir located in the hills 15 km to the North of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam river in the early 1960s. The principal catchment area of the lake and dam is spread over 220 square km.

DAY 02: LOCAL SIGHTSEEING IN GUWAHATI (130 KMS / 3 ½ hrs drive):
Today morning after breakfast @ 8 AM, start for full day local sightseeing including visit to Kamakhya temple, Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, state Zoo. Evening enjoy sunset River cruise over the river Brahmaputra (Cruise is subject to weather conditions & availability, PAYMENT WILL BE DIRECT). Overnight in Guwahati.
DAY 03: Guwahati - Shillong
After an early breakfast, depart for Shillong (130 kms / 3 ½ hrs drive). Check in at the hotel. Overnight is in Shillong.
DAY 04: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong
Today, you will be traveling to Cherrapunjee – one of the wettest places. Overnight stay at Shillong.
DAY 05: Shillong – Mawphlang – Shillong (Meghalaya)
Today, you will be travelling to Mawphlang and surrounding excursions. Drive back to Shillong for overnight halt. Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 06: Shillong – Umiam Lake (Meghalaya)
Today, you will be traveling to Umiam Lake. Relax last leg of journey at RiKynjai. Overnight is in Umiam Lake.
DAY 07: Shillong – Kaziranga (300 Kms / 7 hrs)
After breakfast transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Check in hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.
DAY 08: Kaziranga – Elephant and Jeep Safari
This morning wake up early for your elephant safari. Return for breakfast. Afternoon Jeep safari in central range. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
DAY 09: KAZIRANGA – BHALUKPONG(150 Kms / 4 hrs drive)
After leisurely breakfast drive to Bhalukpong (150 Kms / 4 hrs drive). Check in hotel. Afternoon visit Local markets. Overnight at Bhalukpong.
DAY 10: Bhalukpong – Bomdila - Dirang
After breakfast, proceed by car to the boat embankment point (8 km) and come down by boat on the snow-fed Himalayan river (rubber dinghies oared by expert tribal boatmen). This is not a rafting activity, but something that is rather unique to the JiaBhorelli River.Later, proceed on the 167 km hill road to Dirang. Within half an hour cross into Arunachal Pradesh at Bhalukpong and begin the steep ascent to Bomdila and further 2 hrs away to Dirang (180 kms/5 hrs). Overnight at Dirang.
DAY 11: Dirang
Today enjoy the day soaking in the splendour of the Dirang Valley and its neighbourhood. Overnight at Dirang.
DAY 12: Dirang – Sela Pass - Tawang
Today after breakfast, depart Dirang for a fascinating drive to Tawang. Overnight at Tawang.
DAY 13: Tawang
After breakfast drive high above town to the high altitude lakes of Pangong Tang Tso (popularly known as PT Tso). Overnight at Tawang.
DAY 14: Tawang – Bomdila
Your return journey begins with your drive to Bomdila. Overnight stay at Bomdila.
DAY 15: Bomdila - Nameri
After an early breakfast, return to Nameri eco-camp. Overnight at Nameri.
DAY 16: Nameri – Guwahati Airport drop(230 Kms / 5 hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati airport (230 Kms / 5 hrs drive). Tour Ends Here.
